Section 2- Tools for the Job:
Before thinking of making a hamburger, the necessary tools
and ingredients need to be gathered together. This makes the upcoming processes
easier.
Below is a list of ingredients and cook wear for making the
food.
-Cook Wear-
- Stovetop Spatula (metal or plastic)
- Grilling Spatula (long handle spatula)
- Large Mixing Bowl
- Small Mixing Bowl
- Metal Whisk
- Wax Paper
- Cloth Towel
- 2 small pans of similar proportions
- Large Cast Iron Skillet
- Large non-stick Skillet
- Cookie Sheet (or a large rectangular
pan with no sides)
- Large pan or plate
- Gas Grill
-Ingredients-
- 2 pounds ground chuck
- 1 pound ground sirloin
- Bottle of extra virgin olive oil
- 3 Large Eggs
- ½ cup toasted bread cubes
- ¼ cup steak sauce
- 1 Teaspoon black pepper
- 1 ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 Pack of Thick Sliced Bacon
- Red Onions
- Mushrooms
- Sweet Basil
- ¼ teaspoon Savory
- Garlic Powder
[Tips ‘n Tricks- Bread Cubes] Have
some bread, but no toasted bread crumbs? Not
a problem, since that’s what this section is here for.
Take 1~2 slices of bread (depends on the size
of the slice, but normally one slice is enough) and toast till the outside is a golden
brown.
Place the toasted bread on a cutting board
and using a large
knife cut the bread into 15~16 horizontal
slices.
Now keeping the slices together repeat the previous
step however, cut in a vertical direction. This will create small chunks
(should be a little less than ¼ inch thick).
