Dr. Yucheng Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Louisiana.

He received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Louisville in 2005, and has research and teaching experience in the areas of mechanical and machine design, computer modeling and simulation, design software development, structural mechanics, finite element analysis, crashworthiness analysis, kinematics and dynamics, vehicle system design and analysis, applied mathematics, and thermodynamics.

To date, he has published 2 books, a chapter, 35 journal papers (published or accepted), and 9 conference proceedings in his research areas. He is an editorial board member of an international journal and also has served as reviewer for 13 refereed journals and 3 international conferences. Dr. Liu is a professional engineer registered in Ohio, and holds memberships in ASME and SAE.
