Does Oman have A various wildlife?


Oman has varied wildlife both on land and the surrounding water. The government has issued many strict laws to ban hunting and killing some wild animals that became endangered.  There are some wild animals that have become endangered such as Arabian Oryx, and Arabian Leopard. Also, the government created the National Restore Organization to protect to the natural habitats of mammals.

Oman’s water is very rich with various marine species. There are about 20 species of whales and dolphins that live in the Oman’s water. Oman is a member of the International Whaling Commission. Also, Oman follows the Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species ( CITES).

Turtles make the Omani’s shore a safe place to live and breed. The Omani’s government issued laws which prohibited killing or taking any turtles. People who do such things go to jail, and have to pay fines. All of those laws were set to protect and preserve the turtles. There are various species of turtles that live in the Sultanate.

The Omani government has created many natural parks where Omanis and tourists can go and watch various type of wild animals, that can not be found elsewhere. Most of those parks are listed and registered by  UNESCO. Jaddet Alhrasis Park is the main park in the sultanate.
