Have you heard about Oman before?

The sultanate of Oman is located in southwest Asia in southeast the Arabian Peninsula. The sultanate shares boarders  with United Arab Emirates to the northwest, Saudi Arabia to the west, and Yemen to the southwest. The capital of the country is Muscat. Arabic is the main language. However, there are some other languages spoken such as English, Hindi, Persian, Swahili and Baluchi.

There are about 3 millions people live in the sultanate. Islam is the main religion in the country. Meanwhile, there are other religions have started to exist such as Christianity and Hinduism which are mostly practiced by people being naturalized. The president of the county is Sultan Qaboos who has ruled the country since 1970. The Omani currency is Riyal which equals to 3 US dollars.

Oman has started producing oil in 1950’s. The oil sector is considered  the main source of the country's income.  The country thought to rely in other sources. Therefore, the country has tried to open other income sources such as industrialization and tourism. The government has developed the industrialization by establishing big companies in the sultanate, and signed agreemnts with big international companies.

Since Oman has a lot of attractions, the government has started thinking of tourism intelligently. So, by the end of last century, the government planned many steps to take in order  to develop the tourism sector in Oman.
