Camp
Cajun is a fun day for the mentally and physically handicapped citizens
of Lafayette and surrounding areas. Camp Cajun is sponsored by
UL's Pre-Professional Society, a service organization. Camp Cajun
is a day filled with activities and entertainment. This event
began in April of 2006 and will continue to be a tradition for the
Pre-Professional Society. There is music, free food, activities
and tons of fun!! Last year the kids had a blast as they
participated in events such as the cajun dance-off and bingo. It
is a huge event that requires loads of work from the organization, but
watching these kids have a blast is worth it. Camp Cajun will be
held at UL's McNaspy Field located across
the street from Girourd
Park. There are two parking lots that campers can park in,
located
on each side of McNaspy Field. No money is required, everything
is
FREE!!!! Every camper receives a t-shirt.
