2004, Instrumental in the donation of a new OLS400G from Lucent to UL- Lafayette worth $4.2 million dollar with $115,000 matching fund from UL-Lafayette to purchase testing equipment and to set up the Optical Communication Laboratory in the Department Electrical and Computer Engineering.
