Membership Information
The International Clinical Phonetics and Linguistics Association (ICPLA) was formed in 1991. Its aim is to stimulate thought and research in phonetics and linguistics in relation to disordered speech and language. Also, we hope to facilitate interactions and communications between researchers and clinicians.
All individuals engaged in research, or in any other activity consistent with the above aims, are eligible for membersihip in ICPLA . Student membership is available at reduced rates.
The Association will organize a biennial Symposium to be held in different countries, attendance at which will be available at reduced rates for ICPLA members. The Association will also encourage the development of nationally based informal discussion groups; British and Irish groups hold regular termly meetings on selected topics. All ICPLA members are eligible for a special reduced subscription rate to the offical academic journals of the Association, Clinical Linguistics & Phonetics, and the Journal of Multilingual Communication Disorders . Such subscriptions are available for individuals only, not for institutions. Members will also receive a newsletter.
If you wish to become a member of ICPLA, please complete the membership form and return to the Treasurer. Payment options include credit card payment (MasterCard or Visa) or Cheque/Money Order made out to ICPLA .
Annual membership rates are detailed on the membership form and normally last from January to December.
