John Patrick Bray's Bio

John Patrick Bray earned his MFA from the Actors Studio Drama School at New School University (aka The New School for Drama).  He has been a member of the Actors Studio's Playwrights/Directors Workshop; a Visiting Artist with O'Neill Studios at Provincetown Playhouse; a Guest Playwright with Epic Rep. Theatre (at the Players Club, Gramercy Park); a Resident Writer with Off-Off Broadway's The Rising Sun Performance Company; and is currently an Associate Member with The Dramatists Guild of America, Inc.  His work has been performed with the Actors Studio Drama School Rep. Season (Bleecker St. Theatre), the Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Festival (American Theatre of Actors), the Strawberry One-Act Festival (Producers Club 2- two of his works have been published in the Strawberry One-Act Festival Anthologies), and with The Rising Sun Performance Company. As an actor, John has performed at the Actors Studio (44th St.), Bleecker St. Theatre, UNDER St. Marks Theatre, the Producers Club, the Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row, HB Playwrights Foundation, and the Manhattan Club.  John has taught theatre at Dutchess Community College (New York State),  the New Centre for the Arts (Brookfield, CT), and has taught in the Communicatios Dept. at SUNY New Paltz. Currently, John is a PhD candidate at Louisiana State University.
