The experimental data (shown at right) consisted of displacing starch grains during
periods of weightlessness by a high gradient magnetic field. This field was created by inserting wedges of
varying geometry between two high-powered permanent NeFeBo magnets. The video shows the sedimentation of
grains, the phase of weightlessness, and displacement of the grains after wedge insertion. |
