C-9 zero-g flight

First some preparations - (flight) training in the hypobaric chamber at NASA's neutral buoyancy lab:


	The decompression chamber... This window view demonstrates a sudden drop in air pressure and associated fogging. Because the zero-g planes are more likely than regular planes to experience this phenomenon, everyone has to be trained for this eventuality.

The week of February 6 - 11, 2006 was flying time ---



The experimental data (shown at right) consisted of displacing starch grains during periods of weightlessness by a high gradient magnetic field. This field was created by inserting wedges of varying geometry between two high-powered permanent NeFeBo magnets.
