How to Get the Program Started

Lets Use LSU as an Example

In order to first get a good feel for what the program should be like, we can look into LSU's Air Force ROTC program. This site is LSU's Air Force ROTC.

In this website many aspects of the program are discussed. There are many different organizations and groups affiliated with the ROTC. This is an example of the kind of organizations and activities that a ROTC program at ULL should follow.

LSU states that the scholarships given to its ROTC students range between $10,000 and $40,000 depending on the school that is being attended. LSU also provides free room and board which amounts to $4,250 a year as an incentive to LSU students. They also give up to $400 a month to students while enrolled in ROTC.

How to Get the Program Started

The easiest way to start a new ROTC program is to call a leading figure in charge of the ROTC programs. Follow the steps that are given. ULL can acquire this program if it really to. The steps to start this process will be tedious, but good things come in time.

My advice to start this off is to look into the records to research how the Army ROTC was implemented into ULL. Finding research on this topic seemed like an impossible task. On no site does it tell how to start ROTC in a new school. A school official will have to look into the procedures for completing this proposal.

Hopefully the end result will be that ULL can offer both the Army ROTC and the Air Force ROTC.
