Class Experiment PART I Instructions
1) First download the self-unzipping by Right-clicking HERE and then click "Save As..." or "Save Link As..." to save the file to your desktop.
It's about 10mb in size, so it may take a little bit to download depending on your connection. You can only run this on Windows.
2) Next, unzip the files by running the experiment_jva.exe file. A license window will appear; just click OK.
Then click the Browse button and select your desktop as the download location.
Then click the Unzip button and click the Close button once it's finished.
This will create a folder on your desktop called "Experiment".
Inside the Experiment folder, you should see a subfolder called XTRAS, and files called J32.DLL, DVD.DLL, experiment1.exe, and experiment2.exe.
3) Please make sure you are in a quiet room and that your computer has speakers because the experiment involves listening to some audio files.
4) To begin the first experiment, run experiment1.exe and follow the directions. Both experiments should take around 10-15 minutes to complete.
When you are finished, it will create a text file called yourname_1.txt in the same folder (Experiment).
5) Next, run the second experiment, experiment_2.exe. When you are done, it will create a second text file called yourname_2.txt.
Please email me both files.
And thank you!
