Women's Basketball Team
LSU's womens basketball was started in 1975. The Lady Tiger's all time record is 684-318. This record includes 4 consecutive trips to the NCAA Women's Tournament Final Four, but no National Championships. The Lady Tigers have also won two conference championships. The former women's basketball coach Pokey Chatman played for LSU in the late 80's and early 90's, and became an assistant coach when she finished playing for the team, all under Hall of Fame coach Sue Gunter. However, Chatman will probably be more remembered as the LSU coach who had to resign before the end of the season due to allegations of improper conduct with a former player.
