Interpreting Input Features

The input features can be found by using the techniques of the previous section. In order to interpret the meaning of the unary and binary features in a set, one should look at the roles of the inputs of the problem that they correspond to.

Let's assume that one input has been found to have unary feature of being 1 throughout a set. Further assume that in the input representation the input corresponds to and object being present. We now know that the set requires the object to be present for all patterns that it accepts.
