Hi! My name is Djellel (Pronounced Jalel) I am an Exchange
student from Algeria sponsored by the Fulbright Program, curently
pursuing a master in Computer Science at University of Louisiana - Lafayette
(ULL). My areas of interests are Database Management Systems, parallel and
distributed computing.
While taking classes toward my degree, I do mainly work at the Laboratory of Internet computing in the CACS (Center of Advanced Computer Studies) departement lead by Dr. Vijay Raghavan. In parallel I enjoy contributing to some open source projects. Aside from C++ and Java hacking, I am an officer in the local IEEE student branch where I do maintain the website and try to make events happen !
Before coming to the US, I graduated in 2004 with an Engineer degree in computer science from USTHB (University of Science And Technology Houari Boumedienne) in the picturesque city of Algiers where I lived and worked a couple of years in different IT domains (programming, support/integration, DBA).
