When are words recognized? What factors affect recognition?
The eye movement and event-related brain potential (ERP) methodologies
are capable of providing fine-grained temporal information about language
comprehension processes. In the research that I will describe, these
techniques are used to examine factors affecting word recognition such
as word frequency and contextual bias. The goal is to establish a
realistic time-line of processing.
