(1) In the sub-section entitled Inhibition in Extinction, on the second line of the first paragraph under that section, the first phrase in parentheses should read: "present the CS by itself". (In an earlier version, it incorrectly read "present the UCS".) If you have xeroxed the chapter from the library, this correction needs to be made on page 26.
(2) In the section on Temporal Parameters, under the sub-section entitled Five Ordinal Arrangements, in the fifth paragraph under that section, the second-to-last line should read: "Normally, delayed conditioning". (The word "trace" was used instead of "delayed" in the initial draft.) In the library version, this correction will occur on page 33.
(3) In the sub-section entitled Discrimination Training With Compounds (page 47 in the library version), in the last paragraph, the definition in the parentheses following the "XOR problem" should read: for exclusive or : one or the other, but not both! ("One" is misspelled as "on" in the first version.)
(4) In the sub-section entitled Familiarity (page
50 in the library version), in the last sentence of the last paragraph
under that section, it should be: "Both Groups 2
and 3 got ill" (rather than "Both Groups 1 and 3 got
ill").
