Report 1

presented March 23, 2006

On the day we distribute bibliographical essays, each of you will also give an oral report on your author. This presentation should go beyond a simple reiteration of the information provided in the essay itself. While discussion of the substance of your essay is not disallowed--is, in fact, required for context--you here have an opportunity to go beyond the essay. Given the limited space for discussion allowed by the brevity of the bibliographical essay, each of you surely did not have space to say all you wished about your sources. Moreover, some sources may have been problematic as far as fitting into your written discourse. The report should last ten to fifteen minutes.
