• Two years program, typically beginning at
the Sophmore level and starts during the Fall semester.
• Cohorts of 4 - 5 biology and mathematics majors
• Two field projects - one studying frogs and one studying plants
• Special Coursework (applied toward biology or math degree)
- One 3-hr course on
field techniques in ecology
- Two 3-hr courses on
mathematical modeling and applications to population biology and ecology
- Two 1-hr seminars on
experimental design and ecological modeling
• Prerequisites
- must be a biology or mathematics major and have taken at least one course
in calculus
• Stipends: Students will receive $ 5,500 per year, divided as
follows: $ 2,800 per academic year and $2,700 in the summer.
