Mark A. Rees is an archaeologist specializing in the study of eastern North America. His research interests include Plaquemine and Mississippian communities of the Lower Mississippi Valley and Southeast, ca. A.D. 1000-1700, political culture and identity, historical archaeology, and historical anthropology.
