Course Description: David Hume (1711-1776) was one of the greatest philosophers of the Modern era. His views have been very influential in 20th century analytic philosophy, and continue to be widely discussed and debated. This course will focus primarily on the first book of Hume's Treatise and his Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding.
