Presentations
The sign-up list shows a topic for presentation on the left and, in the
center, the work of literature with which that presentation will
coincide. While the list is in the same order as the course schedule,
do note that the currently scheduled dates for readings are tentative,
and might be pushed back. You are responsible for keeping track of when
you are going to present, and you must inform me before class that you
are giving a presentation on a particular topic that day. If you are
not ready or forget to present, you lose the points.
For each presentation, take 5–10 minutes to introduce the
text—much as the textbook introduces each work—and to
discuss how the piece relates to and informs that day’s reading.
Your presentation will be evaluated on how clearly and thoroughly (yet
succinctly) you present the information and how carefully and wisely
you choose the details that are
presented.
